History of Ahmedabad
King Karandev one, the Solanki Ruler, experienced the warfare towards their Bhil king of Ashapall or Ashaval. Immediately after his triumph Karandev established the city called “Karnavati”. This Hindu kingdom of Karnavati retained its significance until early 15th century when Gujarat fell towards the Muslim Sultanate.
In 1411 Sultan Ahmed Shah conquered Karnavati, and immediately after his name Karnavati was renamed to Ahmedabad.
The town was designed in open and spacious airplane towards the East of Sabarmati. It compromised of scaled-down regarded Fort as Bhadra Fortin. The city fortin wall was enclosed that contains 12 Gates. The city of Ahmedabad went on expanding in every single route because of the addition of new areas on the two the sides with the river. In 1753 blended armies of Raghunath Rao and Damaji Gaekwad took the fortin, which resulted into stop of Mughal Rule in Ahmedabad. Throughout this period Ahmedabad developed, Municipality Commitee was founded, Railway link was set up.
In 1915 Mahatma Gandhi came from South Africa and established Ashram to the banking institutions of Sabarmati.
