The city’s Jain community will host a three-day grand celebration, starting Saturday, to mark the 100th year given that the late Acharya Ramchandra Surishwarji Maharaj adopted sadhu jivan (life). The celebration will include a rath yatra on the initial day, a sangeet programme also as different other programmes for the girls and kids from the community.

Sharing additional specifics about Ramchandra Surishwarji Maharaj’s life, Acharya Shreyansh Surishwarji Maharaj stated, “At the age of 17, he decided to give up material life and became a sadhu. He visited various parts of India to spread Jain religion and culture. In reality, he became such a well known saint that in the young age of 40, he was created a Jain Acharya, that is an incredible achievement.”

He further said that Ramchandra Surishwarji Maharaj had come to be preferred due to the lots of individuals who opposed his thinking. “But he had a one of a kind ability to attract enormous crowds as numerous enjoyed listening to his preachings,” he added.

On Saturday, the Jains will begin a massive rath yatra from Darshan Bungalow close to Parimal crossroads where the Maharaj breathed his last in 1992. The yatra will finish at Tagore Hall. It’ll have 13 raths, 26 horse carriages, four elephants, two white elephants, nine raas-mandlis and 4 music bands. “Also, the rath yatra will function dance exponents from Rajasthan, a unique dance by Siddi community also as performances by two magicians,” stated Shreyan Surishwarji Maharaj.

Hitarathivijayji Maharaj stated, “The fundamental idea is to inspire the youth and make them realise what actual happiness is. We wish to spread the preachings of Ramchandra Surishwarji Maharaj.

In the course of the three-day celebration, we will provide all varieties of material happiness for the Jain devotees like classical dance and sangeet.
