Pune: After the introduction of Shivneri bus service (Volvo) en route to Bangalore, Pune, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to launch a similar service on the road of Pune-Surat-Ahmedabad in December.
MSRTC has also provided additional buses Shivneri Thane, Nashik and Aurangabad routes. In addition, ‘Sheetal’ buses (AC stimulating substances) will take place from places like Pune, Karad, Baramati, Pandharpur, Sangli, Latur, Jalgaon and Amravati.
MSRTC one official said: “The service from Pune-Surat-Ahmedabad daily starting next month. A bed semi-buses with 41 seats Volvo will go from Shivajinagar Bus Terminal every day.”
An official said that the timing and the price announced in the coming days. This is the second among the states Shivneri MSRTC service from Pune after the onset of Pune, Bangalore service, the official added. Proposal of Ahmedabad Volvo bus service was in progress, then the headquarters of May 2011.
MSRTC most of its fleet of Volvo buses to improve services in Nashik, Aurangabad and Thane four. At present, MSRTC operates six trips a day to Nashik, and 20 trips each in Aurangabad and Thane. All new buses are ready to act before December 15
The “Sheetal” service, which so far is available on the Pune-Mumbai highway will be expanded to 10 routes throughout the state. The destinations are Karad, Baramati, Pandharpur, Sangli, Latur, Jalgaon, Amravati, Satara, Akola and Kankavali. “Sheetal is a semi-luxury bus with air conditioning and a lower rate MSRTC Shivneri.The officer added that the Volvo bus from Mumbai to Udaipur, Nagpur and Hyderabad and Pune Surat will be launched on an experimental basis.
