Last Saturday, a Kunal Shah, a resident of Vasant Society, Usmanpura, was the FIR with the police station Naranpura claiming that the theft of jewelry. Shah, owner of a jewelry store on the morning of November 19 he had parked his bike near Soni complex outside his shop. He said that while he was opening the store, some unidentified persons had jewels worth more than Rs52, 000 on his bicycle storage.
Officials of the city crime branch said Sunday they had arrested three men with the RS12 lakh in their possession. The trio is allegedly involved in at least five burglaries in jewelry stores in the city over the last four months.
Crime branch officials said to be involved in the theft to the Surat-based Hare Krishna Jewellers from which they fled with 45 kg of silver. The accused was reportedly recognized by the jewelry and found a photo studio Unna. Overall, the police said the trio has made eight first theft on Sunday.
Authorities said they were trapped in a circle about Vishal Juhapura after police received a tip informing them of this trio comes to the city of Saurashtra.
The accused were identified as Jignesh Katariya, Nilesh Patel and Umesh Patel alias Lalo, all area residents Odhav. Jignesh and Nilesh are native to Amrel district. According to police early Nilesh was booked at least six cases related to diamond theft mobile.
