As Maruti Plans To Set Up The Largest Plant in Gujarat, land prices have doubled in about the likely site, a quiet village in the area called Hansalpur Mehsana.

MSI is not already present, but is Hansalpur but Viramgam-Mehsana Highway in the north of Gujarat, was presented as the potential site.

The MSI was last month gave the green light to buy up to 1,500 hectares of land in the district.

The self-important, said in June, along with its suppliers, it could invest Rs 18,000 crore in the state that seems to produce about 20 lakh units per year in Gujarat.

The land will be provided in part by the Government of Gujarat, when the company acquired the rest.

Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has purchased approximately 400 acres near Becharaji that can be offered to MSI, a senior official said GIDC.

“The first requirement of MSI has been reported by March 1000 acres,” he said.
