Business Summit of IIM-A “Confluence-2011″

The annual business meeting Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) ‘Confluence of 2011″ ended on Sunday. Nearly 600 students from various institutions across the country attended the three-day event.

In addition to hosting a number of persons distinguished speakers from different walks of life, Confluence 2011, was presented with a series of competitions for students in marketing, finance, strategy, and the categories of food agency.

A business simulation and strategy game called Combat company has seen 400 teams across the business schools around the country show their skills. The six finalists of the event, which were of FMS, IIFT, IIM Lucknow, IIM-A and NiTi, have applied their business acumen and analytical skills to address various business problems. After three days of competition, the IIM-Lucknow team took first prize was a cash prize of 60,000 rupees, while IIM-A team won the second prize of 40,000 rupees.

In another event called Model UN, students from various institutes engaged in heated debates in a simulated situation. Cargo stress testing of a revelation of a news agency multinational corporations to hide money in bank accounts in Switzerland and UN officials were also found in illicit activities. Students of the symbiosis, the National Law University, Bhopal and Symbiosis Law School Pune were selected as the best representatives of the event.
