Air India Aircraft Was Grounded For Nine Hours At Gatwick Airport

Hundreds of passengers were stranded after their arrival in India, without the flight had been grounded for nine hours to London Gatwick a combination of fog and aviation rules.

Police were called in the Boeing 777 jet as tempers frayed among the 200 passengers after the airline has prevented them from landing.

Gatwick spokesman said that Air India was the decision to hold a passenger rather than to arrange alternative transport to Heathrow.

“The car was left off the track and kept close to the runway. Duty of care situations include the airline,” he said.

A passenger said the Air India gave weary travelers a letter offering his “sincere apologies for any inconvenience,” when they finally reached Heathrow shortly before 17:30.
