A sessions court in Ahmedabad on Friday will resume the hearing of the bail petition of detained IPS director Sanjiv Bhatt. Sessions Judge VK Vyas postponed the bail hearing on October 5 Bhatt, after hearing arguments of counsel.

Last Wednesday, the judge rejected the government guarantees Bhatt of Gujarat counterpart application consultation set.

The government had argued that the search for a petition with the Police custody Police in India in suspension (IPS) officer was pending before another judge of the court.

Today, Vyas Bhatt bail hearing another judge declared a provisional measures, pending police custody. The court that the application of preventive detention had reserved its order on Friday. Bhatt, arrested on September 30, is being held at the Sabarmati Central Jail.

The IPS officer who had accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of complicity in the 2002-riots in the state after the Godhra train fire, was arrested in connection with a complaint from a police officer Pant KD.

Pants, who was a pilot during the riots Bhatt claimed that his boss forced him to sign a false affidavit.

The statement said Bhatt had attended a meeting convened by Modi, February 27, 2002 hours on the Godhra carnage after the 59 passengers, mostly Kar sevaks returning from Ayodhya, were killed.

The train had caused the fire of communal riots in Gujarat and more than 1,200 people, mostly Muslims, were killed in four months.
