Parts of Gujarat of taxes in the 12 Central Finance Commission has recommended that the period was Rs 24,716.93 crore. During the same period, 12 Finance Commission has recommended and recognized the amount of Rs 3,603.46 crore as the state of Gujarat. This was the SS Palanimanickam, Union Minister of State for financing the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, in response to a question, Parimal Nathwani MP.

The Finance Committee recommends 12 period is defined as the five years 2005 to 2010. The Minister’s statement presented at the table of the House showed that the Gujarat mobilized Rs 5890.92 crore up to 2009-10 to State Tax Central share. The grant of aid combined with the state for five years between 2005 and 2010, as recommended by the 12th Finance Commission and Gujarat was awarded Rs 3708.28 crore from Rs 3,603.46 crore, which was released to the State.

As the declaration was made in house, state aid will cover a range of areas such as forests, roads and bridges, public buildings, cultural heritage, the needs of the state, grant local agencies’ disaster and Relief Fund.

The minister also said the reasons for the release of short-lied in the breach, such as receipt of duly approved action plan, provided that the required budget and actual expenditure on the heads of major relevance are below the prescribed levels by the Commission.

Issuing short of state aid is mainly under the head of public buildings and the needs of the state of the head. The public buildings under the head, the RS 101.81 crore was released against the allocation of Rs. 203.61 crore. If the distribution needs of the state short of the head, the RS 196.98 crore has been released about the allocation of Rs 200 crore in the period 2005-10.
