Gujrat Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the procedure for obtaining visas to facilitate the Pakistanis wishing to visit the Ajmer Sharif shrine.

Modi was inaugurating the annual convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators, IATO XXVII Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Thursday when he proposed that the Union Tourism Secretary RH Khwaja, who was present.

Modi said: “Many of the Pakistanis come to India to watch cricket matches and visit the Ajmer Sharif, the altar, but the visa must be used only in place for the match. The procedures should be easy.”

He also suggested that the government should provide support for airline tickets for people of Indian origin to motivate them to demonstrate the Kumbh melas. Targeting the UPA government of Modi, said: “I do not know if the current government is considering the Union’s secular or not, but is largely to promote tourism.” He added that support should be treated as the Kumbh Mela pilgrimage to the Haj to support. CM said that the increase of tourism to the federal government should start with a different religious tourism circuits such as the Krishna district, Sikh pilgrim circuit, etc.

Modi admitted that Gujarat has missed the tour bus, but now wants to promote it as an important sector on a priority basis.

Vijay Thakur, president of the tour, said that “they expect you to relax in luxury and other taxes, the best hotel facilities, excellent connectivity and other infrastructure to attract tourists in Gujarat.”
