One of the greatest players in affordable housing in Gujarat Bakeri Group, intends to launch a Rs 600 crore mixed-use real estate project in Bengaluru, where it will develop 2.1 million square feet of space Bannerghatta road.
“A ceremony of the innovative project is expected in April next year,” said Pavan Bakeri CEO Bakeri Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd, which is also one of the oldest real estate agent of the government.
The project will be largely a proposed affordable housing and 400 units of housing should be built in the first phase of the project will be priced at 3,500 rupees per square foot.
“Nearly 80% of high-rise project will be residential, and we have plans to provide affordable homes in the south metro,” said HE Bakeries in conjunction with the 26th edition of Norman, an exhibition of three days offers builders, architects, interior designers, planners and project managers.
This is the first residential project to developers from outside Gujarat. Bakeri Group plans to launch about 500 apartments each year, and expects to complete the project within a period of four years. When asked about the reason to get into a big city like Bengaluru, Mr Baker said: “We did not want to be in cities like NCR and Mumbai where the real estate market tends to be unstable, we believe that Bengaluru has developed a growing market and we expect to do well in this town.
