Cops are going to a multiplex city Tuesday morning to watch the special screening of Bollywood blockbuster Singham. This may be the only Gujarat state in the country where the police have enjoyed this film.

Up to now three commissionerates – Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara – had organized a special screening of the film. Sudhir Sinha has asked the police to all police stations to send police officers multiplex 11:30.

Sinha told DNA, “We had heard of the film in Surat and other cities. But in Ahmedabad, we had a chance when the owners of multiplexes approached us with a sponsorship deal, and only then, we decided to go for it. Although I have not seen the movie, I guess the police should be sensitized and over again that this movie did.”

Police say the film, which is based on the police inspector (Ajay Devgn) and difficulties in carrying out its tasks, will have many similarities in the problems they encounter in real life. It is said that the police can easily connect to the film.

Rakesh Asthana, Police Commissioner of Surat, said: “After we screened the movie, I heard the families of the police to ask them to be honest. The Police Department has been very well portrayed in the film that is a motivation for us. This was the idea behind organizing a special screening of the police. “
