As much as 36 incidents of looting, theft, burglary and home chain snatch took place in June in Western Ahmedabad. Residents of this part of the city lost articles, valuables and cash worth more than Rs. 1 Crore in the previous month. Total number of crimes reported in June in the city where the property was the most important goal, more than half took place in the western part of the city.
According to police, people in the West Ahmedabad lost property worth more than Rs 1.20 crore. 60 accidents to rob, house theft and the trail starts in the last 28 days, 36 occurred in the western part of the city.
According to information from police for 29 days of 11 cases of looting and theft, six were reported in the western part of the city.
This includes areas such as Navrangpura, Sola, Naranpura, Ghatlodia, Anandnagar, Vastrapur, Satellite and Ellis Bridge. People have lost around Rs6 lakh in the looting.
Similarly, of the 18 cases of robberies in the city, the 14 arrived in the west and nine of the 19 cases of theft were also held there.
Total losses in the robbery and the theft of Rs1.10 crore achieved. Chain snatching in this part of town is not new. In fact, incidents of chain snatching decreased in June of the 12 cases, seven were in areas such as Ghatlodia, Naranpura and Navrangpura.
Chief Police Mr. Sudhir Sinha, prosperity of the inhabitants in these areas has attracted looters and destroyers of the chain, not only in other parts of the city, but also other states.
“We know about some gangs that come to your city in a few days and disappear after the flight. The five burglaries in one day in Chandkheda were carried out by such a gang alleged to be in western Uttar Pradesh, “said Sinha.
He said the thieves caught on Wednesday; four channels are part of a great band. They usually commit the crimes in the western parts and then vanish into other parts of the city. Four members of the gang remain at large,” said Sinha, who also assured strict action against the gangs and criminals.
He emphasized the detection, rather than patrolling. “The detection of these offenders is critical because once caught, will be behind bars for more than six months and cannot commit crimes for this period,” said Sinha, who also said that such discoveries significantly decreased and chain snatched robberies satellites and Anandnagar areas over the past two weeks.
