ATS, the crime branch disagree
The latent rivalry between practitioners of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the crime branch of Mumbai police came to a head when hunting for the two co Indian Mujahideen (IM). However, common sense prevailed and a face to face was averted.
Sources said a special unit of the crime unit had been warned about the two terrorists by a trusted informant for nearly four months, and was about to follow the duo down. However, the murder of crime J Dey experienced at this time was obliged to put the operation in hopes of starting a hunt for murderers of Dey.
ATS got wind of crime in the administrative sector of activity and to track down the informant, who sold and soon led to the ATS in their prize catch.
ATS sources however, said the arrests were the result of an operation was launched eight months ago. “We grew up from the pier for our purposes. We are not dependent on other informants as ours, “said a source ATS.
This was not the first time the two agencies had come to head towards a common goal.
