Agriculture and food processing large Keventer Agro, part of Rs 1800 crores diversified group Keventer Bengal, has plans for a food processing plant in Sanand waiting for the moment because he recently led the investment to be up a food park in Bihar, in addition to mulling expansion in the dairy segment.

“We will not go with the food processing plant Sanand for now. We, however, maintain the land with us for future projects,” says Mahendra Jalan, President of Keventer. The company had bought nearly 30 acres of land near the plant of Tata Motors at Sanand, about 30 km from Ahmedabad.

Keventer Agro plans to create a center for Rs 75 million rupees in Sanand, which process mushrooms, sesame seeds and oil, peanuts, among others. The company was considering a turnover of 200 crore rupees annually plant. He had signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government for the Investor Summit 2009 Vibrant Gujarat, and bought the land shortly after.

Commenting on plans to close the factory at the time, Jalan said: “The business is profitability. We are already building a park of Rs 200 crore Food in Bihar in association with the future Group.We also intensifying our investment in food Alwar park. The company said last week that is developing Rs 200 crore Food Park in Bhagalpur in Bihar with the Future group. About 65 percent of investment comes from the fact Keventer Agro, while the remaining 35 percent come from the Future Group. About 125 acres of park land for food has already been acquired and work will begin in the next 30 days, the company said.

Keventer had been detected by 186 hectares of Agro Food Park, developed by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), near the industrial area 15 km from Alwar Matsya in the National Capital Region. Feet will not disclose information about investments in Alwar.

Meanwhile, the Group also plans to acquire a holding in the dairy sector to strengthen its presence in the segment, particularly in northern India. He identified three potential targets as well and hope to conclude an agreement before the end of this year. Keventer outlined about Rs 1200 crores for expansion in the segment of food and dairy products.
