The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has made strict arrangements and drawn up an action plan for the upcoming board examinations.
For the 67,944 candidates from Ahmedabad city who will be appearing for the SSC exams this year, the board has declared eight zones, 36 centres and one sub-centre.
For the 39,202 candidates giving their 12th Commerce, there will be six zones, 14 centres and 14 sub-centres. Also, 9,705 students will appear for 12th Science exams this time.
A squad of 200 teams in Ahmedabad city and 50 teams in Ahmedabad rural has been allotted duty to keep an eye on cheating cases or any unethical activities at the exam centres.
In all, 1,07,168 candidates from both SSC and HSC will appear for the exams this time. Sharing more information, District Education Officer, RI Patel said, “This year there is a rise of 6,000 candidates as compared to last year. Also, we have made special arrangements for disabled candidates. Care has been taken as far as possible to allot seats on the ground floor for them at the exam centre. Also, those disabled students who have paper-writers with them will be given half an hour extra time to answer their exams.”
In the Ahmedabad rural section, 43,641 candidates will appear for SSC exams, while 21,308 will take their HSC examination. Sharing more information on this, DEO of Ahmedabad rural, MI Joshi said that for SSC there will be 22 centres and three sub-centres for the examinations. Similarly, for HSC there will be 15 centres and one sub-centre.
This being the first time where the paper style of SSC has been changed, the supervisors have been given rigorous training to cope up with the new timings of the exam and for collection of OMR pattern, Joshi added.
The board has also made provision to allow the students to visit their exam centres to see their seating arrangements on March 9 from 11 am to 5 pm.
“Though the students will not be allowed to enter the class room on March 9, they will be allowed to check on which floor and in which room their seat number is,” DEO Patel added. Source by DnaIndia

TAT Exam will held at 28th August and TET Exam Held at 4 September as source from Sandesh News Paper on 17 July.
Now they declare TET for social science on 28th and there is no information available for TAT for Higher secondary.
there is no proper information either from GSEB office nor from the TET helpline number 1800-233-7963.
this phone is always busy and by chance i got a luck one time and i talk to the lady , she replied she has no more information,she just read out 3 to 4 lines given to her from the board.
