Two robbers looted Rs 3 lakh from traders

Posing as policemen from the Ahmedabad Crime Branch, two robbers looted Rs 3 lakh from traders from Maharashtra on Odhav Ring Road on Saturday morning. According to police, two unidentified men riding a bike stopped a mini truck (MH 31 C 155) coming from Dhulia in Maharashtra to deliver cotton at Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha.

Two traders, Suresh Patil and Vishal Patil, were travelling in the truck along with their driver Jagdih Patil. When they were passing by Power House, the robbers intercepted them and asked them get down. The robbers reportedly introduced themselves as patrolling squad members of the Crime Branch and told the victims they had a tip-off that the truck was carrying narcotics.

According to the police, as the three alighted from the truck, one of the robbers snatched a bag containing cash and sped off on their motorbike. Source by Indian Express
