Among the e-voters in the six municipal corporations that went to polls - the highest e-votes were cast in Surat where 59 voters opted for e-voting followed by 40 in Ahmedabad. Jamnagar and Rajkot saw 10 and 9 people vote through e-voting.
Vadodara, which registered only 1 e-vote, had also seen poor response during the practice for e-vote.
The State Election Commission had spent Rs. 3 crore to start the e-voting in state.
Chairman, SEC- KC Kapoor had told DNA that the expense incurred for E-voting will not go waste.
