Bhuj trader dies of swine flu in Ahmedabad

BHUJ: A sharp increase in swine flu cases in Kutch has become a matter of concern for the Kutch district administration. A rapid response cell unit of the health department has been rushed to Kutch to take due steps.

On Tuesday, a 57-year-old trader from Bhuj died in Ahmedabad after 22 days of treatment, making it the fourth death from Kutch district. Till now 12 positive cases of swine flu have been detected from the district.

On Tuesday, a 11-year-old girl from Banni region of Kutch died in Bhuj’s J K General hospital of suspected swine flu. Her samples have been sent for testing, officials said.
