Ahmedabad-based Neesa Agritech Pvt. Ltd (NAPL), a subsidiary of Neesa group engaged in various businesses like food & beverage, hospitality, IT & Software and biotechnology, has entered into frozen food business with the brand name “Instant Indian.”
Under the brand name, the company will launch various ready-to-eat food items like breads, rice, curries, desserts and snacks by next month. Sanjay Gupta, chairman of NAPL, said, “We are targeting Indian market as well as overseas ethnic market in the US, the UK and the Gulf nations to harness the new consumer trend and to make the category more relevant and exciting for consumers and channel partners.”
Further, the company claims that NAPL has decided to look for new ways to drive value in the frozen ready-to-eat food category and “Instant Indian” range will contain only natural ingredients. “The company is looking forward to creating a good value preposition for channel partners as well as trendy consumers. Products are slated for market introduction by the starting of 2010,” Gupta added.
