Thieves decamp with Rs 87,000 cash from judge’s house

AHMEDABAD: In a daylight theft, thieves decamped with Rs 87,000 from house of a labour court justice. Son of the judge has lodged a complaint for

theft with Madhavpura police station officials.

According to the complaint by Sanjay Pattani, a resident of Officers Quarters opposite Shahibaug police ground, he was out to appear in an examination since 9 am. When he returned home at 1.30 pm, he found front door locks broken.

“The thieves were quick as the theft has taken place between 11.30 am and 12 noon, according to neighbours. The justice is out on a tour to Siddhpur whereas Sanjay, an advocate by profession, had been to a college to appear for a selection examination. The way the theft has taken place, we believe that there might be more than one persons involved in it,” said a Madhavpura police station officials.

The thieves have stolen Rs 87,000 cash from the house, said officials. Natwarlal Pattani is a justice at city labour court.
