New trains introduced to meet summer rush

Western Railway will operate additional holiday special trains between April 1 and July 2 this year to clear extra rush of passengers during summer holidays. Booking for these trains will start from March 24, according to a press release.

The details of specials are as follows:

* 26 Weekly AC Specials between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad (Train No. 0935, weekly superfast) will leave Mumbai Central at 10.50 pm on Thursdays and reach Ahmedabad at 6 am on the next day (April 9 to July 2). On return, 0936 weekly (Superfast AC Special) will leave Ahmedabad at 11.15 pm on Mondays and arrive Mumbai Central at 6.15 am on the next day (April 5 to June 29). Stoppages at Borivali, Surat and Vadodara..

* Six weekly AC Specials Between Mumbai Central – Jaipur (Train No. 0937 ) will leave Mumbai Central at 1.55 pm on Tuesdays and reach Jaipur at 7 am on the next day (between April 7 and June 30). On return, 0938 (Weekly Superfast AC Special) will leave Jaipur at 10.05 am on Wednesdays and arrive Mumbai Central at 04.50 am on next day (April 8 to July 1). Stoppages at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota and Sawaimadhopur.

* 26 Weekly Special trains between Bandra Terminus & Okha (Train No.0933 Weekly Special) will leave Bandra Terminus on Wednesdays at 11.25 pm to reach Okha the next day at 7 pm (April 8 to July 1). On return, 0934 will depart from Okha on Tuesdays at 11.15 am and will arrive at Bandra Terminus at 05.35 am on the next day. (April 7 to June 30). Halts at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Surendra Nagar, Wankaner, Rajkot, Hapa, Jamnagar, Khambalia and Dwarka.

* 24 Weekly special trains Between Ahmedabad – Gorakhpur (Train No. 0939 weekly special train) will leave Ahmedabad on Sundays at 9.30 pm to reach Gorakhpur at 4.30 am the next day (between April 12 and June 28). On return, 0940 Gorakhpur – the train will start at 11.30 pm from Gorakhpur on Tuesdays and arrive at 5.50 am the next day in Ahmedabad (April 14 to June 30). Halts at Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawaimadhopur, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti and Khalilabad..

* 24 Weekly Special trains between Ahmedabad and Jodhpur (Train No.0941 Weekly Special) will leave Ahmedabad at 7.40 pm on Thursdays to reach Jodhpur the next day at 4.30 am (April 9 to June 25). On return, 0942 Weekly Special will leave Jodhpur at 11.20 pm on Fridays and reach Ahmedabad at 7.20 am on the next day (April 10 to June 26). Halts at Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar Jn., Pali Marwar and Luni.

26 Weekly Superfast Special trains between Valsad and Ajmer (Train No. 0945 Weekly Special) will leave Valsad at 5.15 am on Tuesdays to reach Ajmer at 9.50 am on the next day (April 7 to June 30). On return, 0946 will leave Ajmer at 8.30 pm on Wednesdays and arrive at Valsad at 12 noon the next day (April 8 to July1). Halts at Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsor, Nimuch, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Vijaynagar and Nasirabad.

* 26 Weekly Superfast Special trains between Valsad and Varanasi ( Train No. 0943 Weekly Special) will leave Valsad at 7.40 pm on Fridays to reach Varanasi at 11.05 pm the next day (April 3 to June 26). On return, 0944 will leave Varanasi at 4.15 am on Sundays and arrive at Valsad at am on the next day (April 5 to June 28).Halts at Udhna, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni Jn. Satna and Manikpur.
