MP Police claim they are close to cracking ‘murder’ case in Chhindwara
The Madhya Pradesh Police have announced that they are close to cracking the possible murder case of at least one of the two minor boys who died at the Asaram Ashram gurukul in Chhindwara. But, the Gujarat Police seem to be clueless about the mysterious deaths of two boys, Dipesh and Abhishek, whose bodies were found from the Sabarmati riverbed two days after they went missing on July 3.
The investigation seems to be going nowhere even after they were handed over to the CID (Crime) following a public unrest against the Sabarmati police.
Although two ashram inmates were put under the lie detection test at the Gandhinagar Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), the sleuths are yet to gather any concrete evidence.
Additional Director General of Police P P Pandey said: “If needed, we will put some other ashram inmates under the lie-detection test. As of now, the case still remains to be that of an accidental death,” he added.
Pandey said the investigation is, now, almost based on the lie-detection tests, as they are yet to gather any piece of evidence from the riverbed or the ashram, which can lead to any convincing conclusion.
Even, the doctors are yet to give the final postmortem report on the cause of the deaths, he added.
Meanwhile, the families of the boys have said that they are not satisfied with the investigations into the case.
Shantilal Vaghela, Abhishek’s father said: “I do not know what the police have been doing till now. We are neither informed by the police about the investigations, nor have been given the preliminary postmortem report despite our repeated requests. In Madhya Pradesh, everything is coming out in a very transparent manner, which is not the case here in Ahmedabad even after almost a month after the incident.”
“The Chief Minister has assured us of a proper investigation, but we are not satisfied with the investigations,” he added.
