The car reportedly stolen from Navi Mumbai was used in the Ahmedabad blasts that rocked the city on Saturday (July 26)

Two men were today (July 29) picked up by the Mumbai Crime Branch. Both were living in a guest house in the Bhendi Bazaar area of Mumbai. Mumbai Police claimed that they’ve been picked up as part of a routine drive.
The Mumbai police is also questioning an RTO agent, after the cars used in the failed Surat blast were traced to Navi Mumbai.
TIMES NOW also learnt that the the two explosive laden vehicles were recently stolen from Navi Mumbai. The man, whose sketch was revealed yesterday (July 28), is said to have parked the vehicle packed with explosives at the site from where it was discovered.
The Surat police released sketch of the suspect, who could be behind the explosive-laden cars found in Surat on Sunday (July 27). Surat Commissioner of police RMS Brar said the sketch of the suspect was released based on the description given by a watchman who saw him parking the red car (Wagon R) in the Heerabaug area. On Monday (July 28), Abdul Halim, an activist of the banned militant sect — Ahle Hadees — who was arrested by the Intelligence Bureau officers in the wee hours of July 27 from the sensitive Dani Limba area, was sent to police custody for fourteen days. (Read more)
