TruMart, The Food, Home, Personal Care (FHPC) arm of Piramyd Retail Ltd this week launched ‘Swadisht’, a private label ‘namkeen’ that is transfat free, enriched with beta carotene and is more crisp that most of the other brands in this growing category. To enhance its offering in the packaged food category, TruMart will launch juices, oil and biscuits shortly.
“TruMart stands for value for money and quality offering. While our quality grocery brand ‘Uttam’ promises cleaned and graded pulses, Sparkles, our household cleaner brand, is 100% ammonia free. Through Swadisht, and our other private label brands, we are looking at reinforcing the TruMart value proposition of quality at an affordable value” said Upamanyu Bhattacharya, CEO, TruMart.
Namkeen are a centuries old tradition in India. TruMart’s ‘Swadisht’ as the name suggests is a perfect blend of taste and health. The product range of ‘Swadisht’ will be rolled out in a phased manner across India. The products are already available in Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad and will subsequently be made available in Indore, Jaipur and Nagpur. The recently launched 200 gram variants include Aloo Bhujia, Corn Chiwda, Moong Dal and Khatta Meetha. Popular snacks like Peanut Croutons, Banana Chips, Bhujia Sev and Chana Dal will be launched shortly.
