Pak B-School to attend 'Confluence-2007' at IIM-A

Pak B-School to attend 'Confluence-2007' at IIM-AAhmedabad: The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will organize its annual B-School meet "Confluence-2007" from November 22nd.

25 international institutes of management including one from Pakistan have confirmed participation in the 4-day long event at the premier B-School.

"There will be some 1,200 participants from about 25 international schools and 50 domestic schools taking part in Confluence-2007 which has 'India towards Economic Leadership' as its theme," Mr. Sasikanth Dola, Secretary of Confluence Students Affairs Council told reporters.

"This year we have two teams from a B-school of Lahore, Pakistan. The participation would provide students a platform to interact and exchange ideas with leaders, thinkers and managers from all walks of life," he said.

About nine students from the Lahore University of Management Science will be participating in an online-strategy game (to be held during the event) called 'Mousetrap', Dola said.

"The team of students from Pakistan has already confirmed their participation in the event," he added.

'Confluence 2007' comprises of lectures and discussions by business leaders, competitive events and workshops.

The event will be joined by several well known personalities including Union Minister for Civil Aviation Mr. Praful Patel, business leaders including S Ramadorai - MD and CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, Vineet Nayar- CEO of HCL Technologies, Shashi Ruia - Chairman of the Essar Group and N Vaghul - Chairman of ICICI Bank.
