AHMEDABAD: City-based equity analyst Prasoon Dalal’s death is surrounded in mystery. A jogger found his body on Tithal Beach near Valsad on October 4 early in the morning.
Dalal’s relatives and family members in Ahmedabad have ruled out dubious dealings or enmity as possible motives for the murder. A police team from Valsad visited the city and made enquiries.
“The deceased’s family could not point out to any dubious dealings or enmity that could have led to the murder. We are questioning staff of Hotel Adina, where Dalal had checked in, and nearby establishments and autorickshaw owners,” said investigation officer P A Shukla, sub-inspector, Valsad city police.
Shukla asserted Dalal had checked into the hotel alone. “The hotel staff told us that Dalal came alone on Monday and checked out on Tuesday,” Shukla said.
Police suspect Dalal met someone on the beach after checking out.
“His wife Nirali told us that he would always phone up at home to inform where he was. He informed her very late about going to Tithal. His laptop contained important data about his analysis on the share market,” said police.
