New Delhi: The 43-year old IIM Ahmedabad was established with a broad long-term vision which they kept reviewing. The Board clearly states that, “IIM-A must emerge as a top ranking management school in the world and achieve global recognition as a leading player in the field of education.”
According to the institute, it would be incorrect to say that the main objective of setting up the IIM was to offer only a Post Graduate Programme in Management. It would amount to taking a narrow and restrictive view of its objectives.
Clarifying some of the observations made by the Committee, which IIM-A feels fails to recognize their achievements, while erroneously highlighting negative aspects, came up with a detailed response.
