UPA-Left backed presidential nominee Pratibha Patil is arriving here on Sunday to seek support for her candidature from State legislators and members of Parliament. Highly reliable Congress sources said that she would visit Sabarmati Ashram soon after her arrival.

After that she would address a meeting of Congress legislators and MPs, along with party leaders, in the conference hall of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). There are a total of 48 Congress MLAs, 12 Lok Sabha MPs and three Rajya Sabha MPs in the State.

Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) is learnt to have held a meeting under the chairman of its president Bharatsinh Solanki and all party legislators and seniors were asked to remain present in the GCCI hall.
